  • One of the fundamental principles of Protestant biblical interpretation is that "Scripture is its own best interpreter." Luther expressed this principle with the words, Scriptura sui ipsius interpres ("Scripture is its own expositor"), and it was summed up by the authors of the Westminster Confession thus: "The infallible rule of interpretation of Scripture is the Scripture itself: and therefore, when there is a question about the true and full sense of any Scripture ... it must be searched and known by other places that speak more clearly." Book of Revelation

Prophecies involving the Pope as the seat of the Antichrist: interpreting the meanings of the symbols of the Beast and of the Whore of Babylon (woman riding the beast) pictured in the chapter of Revelations.

Is the book of Revelation literal or symbolic?

  • The key for understanding the Book of Revelation is found at the front doorstep of the Book. Verse 1 says: "The Revelation...signified [Greek, sema--a sign] by his angel to his servant John."
    • Revelation is a book of signs, that is, symbolic language.
      • No wonder, Jesus always spoke in parables Matthew 13:34-35! He was not talking about literal "wheat" or "tares." Neither did Jesus speak to John in vision about literal beasts or "locusts." Only once in awhile are the parables or the symbols of Revelation translated. "The waters. . .are peoples." (Revelation 17:15).
      • Outsiders will not otherwise understand this symbolic language (Mark 4:10-12). "And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them" [4]

  • What is less appreciated is that in this type of genre, an ancient style of writing called Apocalyptic writings, much of the imagery is well known and can fairly straightforwardly be interpreted. I cannot go into everything here so will sketch a few highlights. The first beast is said to [1] get its authority from the dragon, [2] resemble a leopard, a bear and a lion, [3] have 7 heads and 10 horns, we know also that [4] everyone will worship this beast and no one can defeat it in battle.

  • The word Catholic means Universal. So the Roman Catholic Church is claiming to be the Universal or Worldwide Christian Church, a claim of authority over all the Christians of the world.
  • The significance of Rome lies primarily in the fact that it is the city of the pope. The Bishop of Rome, as the successor of St. Peter, is the Vicar of Christ on earth and the visible head of the Catholic Church. Rome is consequently the centre of unity in belief, the source of ecclesiastical jurisdiction and the seat of the supreme authority which can bind by its enactments the faithful throughout the world.

These are the colors of the Holy See, or the administrative arm of the Vatican. The Pope's aides wear purple vestments , with shirt sleeves that are scarlet from the elbow to the wrist and purple skull caps , while Cardinal Bishops wear black and scarlet. As for the Pontiff, he generally wears white under garments with a scarlet cape when he is there.

  • Woman is a Church in prophetic language
    • Woman, Pure = True Church (Jeremiah 6:2 - "daughter of Zion, 2Corinthians 11:2, Ephesians 5:23-27, Revelation 12:1-2)
    • Woman, Corrupt = Apostate Church also called "Harlot" (Ezekiel 16:15-58; 23:2-21, Hosea 2:5; 3:1, Revelation 14:4)
      • The woman still symbolizes a church, but one which has committed spiritual adultery. Her cup is filled with fornications. According to the Bible, this represents a turning away from Christ and unfaithfulness to His Word. "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that friendship of the world is enmity with God?" James 4:4. Although married to Christ, this church has been disobedient to His Word, taken the teachings of the world, His enemy, and therefore become a spiritual harlot. The fornications in the cup would constitute false teachings and doctrines that would be contrary to Christ, the true husband [5]
  • She wears Purple and Scarlet colors Revelation 17:4; 18:12; 18:16
    • Scarlet is the color of sin
      • Isaiah 1:18 "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow."

  • This self-proclaimed "mother" church is also Mystery Babylon, the apostate church of Mysteries and the purveyor of Babylonian doctrinal confusion. (Note this quote of John Paul II from the Vatican Information Service press release dated 17 September, 1997):

  • Mystery is also the term used by the Roman Catholic Church to refer to the Mass, specifically the transubstantiation of the bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ. It is a key part of Catholic dogma. These are the words of the priest in Latin or English:
Hic est enim caix sanguinis mei, novi et aeterni testamenti: mysterium fidei, qui pro vobis et pro multis effendetur in remissionum peccatorum.
For this is the chalice of my blood, of the new and eternal testament: the mystery of faith', which for you and for many shall be shad unto the remission of sins.
  • The Catholic is also well familiar with many "mysteries" through the recitation of their Hail Marys and the rosary. There are 15 decades of prayer (150 recitations) and during each decade of ten recitations, the Catholic contemplates on one of the "mysteries" of the church, which are the Luminous Mysteries

Pope John Paul II, dressed in purple, holds a golden cup, during the Papal Apology Mass on March 12th, 2000. Some Cardinals in attendance wore both prophetic colors of purple and scarlet.

  • A woman holding a cup main symbol on vatican coins which depict Fides (the Catholic Faith)

  • This medal of Pope Innocent XI was struck in 1680, the 4th year of his reign. On the reverse side is Fides (mythology) representing the Catholic Church. Again she is holding the golden cup of the Mass and a cross. The inscription translates to "Safe and Steadfast".

  • A gold Scudo minted during the reign of Pope Clement XI in 1718 (Anno XVIII) with a cup holding Fides on the reverse.

  • Bronze papal medal of Pope Leo XII, minted to commemorate the second year of his reign, the jubilee year of 1825. Again the Roman Catholic Church is portrayed as a woman seated on the globe with a cup in her hand. The inscription on the reverse reads SEDET SUPER UNIVERSUM, declaring that her seat of authority is universal, i.e., over the entire globe.

  • Illustrations of two more coins (gold - 2 Zecchini) minted during the reign of Leo XII, which depict Fides (the Catholic Faith) as a woman on the reverse side, also holding the golden cup of the Mass.

  • Pope Leo XII - 1828 (Anno V) - "Supra Firmam Petram"

  • Papal medal minted by Pius XI in 1929 to commemorate both the Lateran Treaty, which restored Papal sovereignty and made Vatican City an independent state, and the 50th jubilee of his priesthood. The sunburst wafer of the Eucharist that appears in the sky above the Lateran and St. Peter's basilicas, over the cup of the Mass is the Black Sun symbol of the Jesuits.

    Note: This commemorates the restablishment of the papal power by the Jesuits after Napoleon dethroned the pope in 1798 along with General Berthier

Numerous Popes promulgated bulls, official documents, which encouraged torture and murder of those who opposed the Roman Catholic religious system. The methods of gruesome torture devised during the period of the Inquisition are a testimony to the corrupt influence of Satanically-inspired human beings apart from God. Ten thousand Huguenots (French Protestants) were killed in the bloody Paris massacre on St. Bartholomew's Day, 1572. The French king went to mass to return solemn thanks that so many heretics were slain. The papal court rejoiced at the news, and Pope Gregory XIII in grand procession, went to the Church of St. Louis to offer thanks. Inquisition was ordered by papal decree and confirmed by Pope after Pope.

This does not detract from Hitler's Pope, Pius XII, who abetted the Nazi regime. Hitler would never have come to power had it not been for Catholic support. While Jews and others died in Nazi concentration camps, the Pope and others who knew what was going on were silent. And, after the war, the church was instrumental in helping Nazis to escape via the infamous ratlines.

There appears to be nothing new, no change of heart, in the Roman system. Repentance, not political apologies, is the only avenue for those enmeshed in the Romish system of Babylon. The way to repent for papists is to renounce the Babylonish system, to come out of her.

Number of the Beast

“Sigilla Solis” or “Sun Seal” This amulet has the god of the sun standing on the lion. This indicated the sun's position in the constellation of Leo during the hot days of August. The back is inscribed “Nachyel,” meaning “intelligence of the sun” and the numbers 1 to 36. These numbers are arranged in such a way that the sum of any given row, column or diagonal is 111, and therefore the sum of all six rows or all six columns is 666.
This illustration is also a solar seal, but it honors the star Basilisco, which was the diminutive form of the Greek Basileus (king), thus meaning the same as the Latin regulus. Regulus is the only first magnitude star in the constellation of Leo. The sun and the moon are again clearly seen on this amulet and on the reverse side is the same arrangement of numerals with the actual figure 666 given as the total.

  • Non Material Mark
    • Another "Mark" but that doesn't fit with this prophecy, is the change of worship from Saturday to Sun-day. All those trying to explain the prophecies and proposing this hypothesis (that the mark of the beast is the change of the day of worship from Saturday to Sunday) exclude the unique part of "And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name". The reasoning is only accurate in a spiritual or religious realm, just as God made his Sabbath in the Old Testament required by the 10 commandments.
  • Uncertainity
    • According to Daniel Daniel 12:4 "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." Some prophecies are sealed until the end of times, meaning some prophecies of the bible are not meant to be known/understood until close to the the time of it's fulfillment.
    • Taking as a focal point that "And that no man might buy or sell" for now we can only estimate/guess what some of the prophecies are about. In this case the best guess considering the evolution of money through history (cash to cashless) that the Mark of the beast is most probably a microchip / tattoo (combined with forced vaccinations?) that will be used for transactions purposes.

    • Mackey makes this fact quite clear also: "Masonry has derived its temple symbolism, as it has almost all its symbolic ideas, from the Hebrew type ..." [Ibid] Since the Old Testament was written originally in the Hebrew, and the New Testament in the Greek, Mackey is clearly stating that Freemasonry is rooted in the Old Testament!

Man of Sin

  • The notion of the Son of Perdition or the Man of Sin can be found in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 and John 17:12 and is a name commonly associated with the Antichrist (1 John 2:18 and 2 John 2:7), the Lawless One (Dan. 7 and 8), and the Beast of Revelation (Rev 13).
  • The Unholy Trinity ( See also: Alice Bailey "Hierarchy of Ascended Masters" )
    • The Unholy Trinity represents Satan, Antichrist, and the False Prophet. The separation of those 3 entities can be verified in the verses Revelation 19:20: "And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone", and in Revelation 20:1-2 "And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years".

Seven

  • Represents perfection, and is the sign of God, divine worship, completions, obedience, and rest. The “prince” of Bible numbers, it is used 562 times, including its derivatives (e.g., seventh, sevens). [10]

  • There are three key differences between the Trumpet judgements and the Vial/Bowl judgments: firstly, the Trumpet judgments are plagues upon nature, while the Vial/Bowl judgments are direct assaults against humanity. Secondly, the Trumpet judgments are partial (namely, they affect 1/3 of what they plague) while the Vial/Bowl judgements will destroy or harm all of what they assault. Lastly, the Trumpet judgments offer a possibility of redemption, while the Vial judgments do not; the Vial judgments are a literal assault on those who have taken the mark of the Beast, and those who take it are irredeemable.

Seven seals

First 4 are the horsemen of the apocalypse.

White horse

And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. - Revelation 6:2

There is a difference between this white horse and the one from Revelation 19:11, as Revelation 19:11 clearly shows that this is Jesus Christ (and has many crowns) while this one is not (he has a bow and a crown). A horse symbolizes war, being white signifies that he comes as a righteous (conquering by peace - is this the same person that is referred in Daniel 8:23-25 that will be destroyed by the Prince of Princes, Jesus) one (a deceiver, as according to 2 Corinthians 11:14 tells us that "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light". The rider of the white horse uses a bow which has never been depicted as a weapon used by Jesus, as Jesus main "weapon" is figuratively the sword Rev 19:15 & Rev 19:21. Also remember that Jesus is the one opening the seals, so it is difficult to imagine that as he can open the seals and at the same time be the subject of this/those seals.

Red horse

And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. - Revelation 6:4

This verse can be crossed reference with Matthew 24:6 "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come."

Black horse

And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. Revelation 6:5-6

The association between black and famine is found on Spoke 3 in the Book of Lamentations (vs. 5.10) "Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine." [12]

Pale (green) horse

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. - Revelation 6:8

John says the rider who sat on this horse "was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth." One quarter of the earth's population, well over a billion people, will die probably as a result of WWIII.

Souls under altar

And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?     • The Prophecy of the Popes, attributed to Saint Malachy, is a list of 112 short phrases in Latin. They purport to describe each of the Roman Catholic popes (along with a few anti-popes), beginning with Pope Celestine II (elected in 1143) and concluding with a later added pope described in the prophecy as "Peter the Roman", whose pontificate will end in the destruction of the city of Rome.
    • St. Malachy was reported to have possessed the powers of levitation, healing, and clairvoyance. While on his way to the Vatican to assume the post of papal legate for Ireland, he fell into trance and saw a line of papal reigns stretching from the successor to Innocent II and extending through centuries to the last of the line, identified as Peter of Rome. Malachy assigned short descriptions in Latin to each pope when he committed his vision to paper. These mottoes usually refer to a family name, birthplace, coat-of-arms, or office held before election to the papacy. Some of the phrases are multiple prophecies, written with ingenious word play. For example, Pius II, who reigned for only 26 days in 1503, was aptly described as "De Parvo Homine" (from a little man). His family name was Piccolomini, Italian for "little man."[22]
    • The current Pope Benedict is number 111 on St.Malachy's list of 111 Popes. An un-numbered name appears at the end of the list and may have been added at a later date.
    • Here is the prophecy for the last name on the list called "Peter the Roman':"In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Petrus Romanus, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations; after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End."
    • Petrus Romanus is not a Pope because he is not numbered. There is a roman cardinal named Peter which people think may be the next Pope, but I doubt it.
    • Malachy's final words: "Rome, the seat of the Vatican, will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people." In 1909, while granting an audience, pope Pius X leaned back and closed his eyes. Suddenly he "awoke" and cried out: "What I see is terrifying. Will it be myself? Will it be my successor? What is certain is that the pope will quit Rome, and in leaving the Vatican, he will have to walk over the dead bodies of his priests."

    • In Revelation 9:14-16, it said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates." And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. The number of the mounted troops was two hundred million. I heard their number.
    • Iraq’s Euphrates River Dries Up, Adding to Drought, NYT Reports
      • The Euphrates River in Iraq is drying up because of upstream dams in Syria and Turkey, adding to a drought that’s lasted two years, the New York Times reported, citing local residents and officials. Rice and wheat fields along the river have turned to parched land and fishing boats sit on dry river and canal beds, the newspaper reported. Older residents say it’s the worst they can remember, the paper said, citing Sayid Diyia, a fisherman who was out of work sitting in a cafe near the river. Iraqi officials blame the Turkish and Syrian governments for policies that have cut flows to Iraq, which has no treaties on water supplies, the paper said. There are at least seven dams on the Euphrates in Iraq’s northern neighbors, it said.

Wormwood Star

"And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter." - Revelation 8:11

The word wormwood is pretty clear in this sentence, as it represents bitterness: Number of Bible scholars consider the term Wormwood to be a purely symbolic representation of the bitterness that will fill the earth during troubled times, noting that the plant for which Wormwood is named, Artemisia absinthium, is a known Biblical metaphor for things that are unpalatably bitter[23]

The word Star in the bible has 2 meanings. It can be a star (literal translation, of which is the one we see in the sky at night) and stars also represents angels in the bible. This is explained in:

"The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches." - Revelation 1:20 (the same 7 stars are mentionned before in Revelation 1:16 and after in Revelation 2:1 and Revelation 3:1. This verse is absolutely clear as to what stars in this context represent.

Bad star singular

But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves. - Amos 5:26 (This star represents a pagan god, obviously a deity inspired by a fallen angel)
Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon. - Acts 7:43 (Another star representing a pagan deity, robing the worship of God towards a false god, again inspired by the devil and his fallen angels)
And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. - Revelation 8:10-11 (This of course represents Satan falling/expelled from heaven)
And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. - Revelation 9:1 (again satan is fallen, and is given the key to the bottomless pit to release the locusts which have been given power to torment the people who have not been marked by God)

Bad stars plural Those "stars falling from heaven" are meant to represent the devil and his fallen angels, that are thrown out of heaven when the war in heaven is ending.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. - Revelation 12:7-9
The verses referring to angels as stars falling to heaven are in

Prophecies about Gog and Magog Todo: This will probably be the time when Satan is bound Revelation 20:2-4 and then he (Satan) Must deceive the nations again.

"Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left." Isaiah 24:6. Other clues that inidcate this chapter is about the last days: The great earthquake "The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard", final Judgement "And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth." Isa 24:21 "And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited." - After many days -> 1000 year period?
