History
(todo)
- Alternative names: "Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis" (A.M.O.R.C.), "Order of the Rose Cross", "Rosicrucianism"
- Freemasonry relations:
- "The Freemasons who gained enough control over this Methodist Church to get these Masonic images set in the church as stained glass windows during the renovation are obviously of the York Lodges, a group within Masonry which really reveres Rosicrucianism." [2]
- Jesuit Connection
- Many catholics thought of the Rosicrucians as of crypto-jezuits. A pamphlet written in 1782, “Der Rozenkreuzer in seiner Blösse” (The Rosicrucian in his Nakedness) described them and the Templars as mere puppets of a hidden jezuit kabbal. Some Rose Cross members even started to think they were infiltrated. (The quest for the phoenix: spiritual alchemy and Rosicrucianism in the work of Count Michael Maier (1569-1622), Volume 88, p123) [3]
