Techniques

Censorship

American media elites practice a brutal, albeit well-concealed, form of "wartime" news censorship, but the mechanisms of this control are now openly acknowledged. John Chancellor, the longtime NBC-TV news anchorman, in his recent autobiographical account of life in the news room, The New News Business (with Walter R. Mears, New York: HarperPerennial, 1995), admitted that, through formal structures such as the Associated Press, informal "clubs" such as the New York Council on Foreign Relations, and the Sun Valley clique, decisions are made, on a daily or weekly basis, about what the American people will be told, and what stories will never see the light of day. (The Cartelization of the News Industry) [2]

  • Organizations / People ("Who says what to whom")
  • Intentions ("Whats the message behind the message?")
  • Tools ("How to distribute/block the message?")
    • broadcasting
    • filtering (aka censuring)
      • Gatekeeping
      • selection of stories
      • duration of stories
      • order of stories
      • frequency of stories
      • destruction (throw of the air, kill participants, destroy infrastructure)
        • Example: Palestine Hotel case
      • Population reach (by geographic region, culture, social status, age, etc.)

Propaganda

Hypnosis

A presumed altered state of consciousness in which the hypnotized individual is usually more susceptible to suggestion than in his or her normal state. In this context, a suggestion is understood to be an idea or a communication carrying an idea that elicits a covert or overt response not mediated by the higher critical faculties (this is, the volitional apparatus). [4]

  • "It is a proven fact that when we are watching television our brain goes into a state of lowered alertness. What are alpha-waves? Alpha-waves are oscillating electrical voltages in the brain. They oscillate in the range of 7.5-13 cycles per second and occur in relaxed states such as meditation and under hypnosis. Usually the brain shows alpha wave patterns when we are very relaxed and passive. Such brain activity is observed naturally before one falls asleep or immediately after awakening. Resting and day dreaming are activities that can cause this alpha-wave pattern also, but after resting or day dreaming the brain returns to full alertness (beta-waves)." [5]
  • Hypnosis as used to promote sexually illegal and immoral acts: Hypnotists will tell you that a hypnotized person will not do anything under hypnosis that they would not do in a conscious state of mind. That is a lie! All of us have a consciousness that serves as a filter for moral conduct and when you put that filter to sleep, such as what occurs under hypnosis, you have essentially bypassed the psyche part of the mind that uses critical judgement and is essential and vital to living a moral life. [6]

Neuro-linguistic programming

  • video: "Obama Clearly Using Covert Hypnosis Methods"
    • "Is Barack Obama a brilliant orator, captivating millions through his eloquence? Or is he deliberately using the techniques of neurolinguistic programming (NLP), a covert form of hypnosis developed by Milton H. Erickson, M.D.? A fundamental tool of "conversational hypnosis" is pacing and leading - a way for the hypnotist to bypass the listeners critical faculty by associating repeated statements that are unquestionably accurate with the message he wants to convey. In his Denver acceptance speech, Obama used the phrases "thats why I stand here tonight," "now is the time," and "this moment" 14 times. Paces are connected to the lead by words such as "and," "as," "because," or "that is why." For example, "we need change" (who could disagree?)"and that is why I will be your next President." Techniques of trance induction include extra slow speech, rhythm, tonalities, vagueness, visual imagery, metaphor, and raising of emotion. Hypnotists often have patients count. In a speech after the primaries closed, Obama said: "Sixteen months have passed (paused) "Thousands" (pause) "of miles" (pause) "Millions of voices". Hypnotists call this a distraction technique: sending the dominant hemisphere on an assignment involving linguistic processes, thus opening the non-dominant hemisphere to suggestion."

Subliminal programming

  • Subliminal perception is a deliberate process created by communication technicians, whereby you receive and respond to information and instructions without being aware of it. Messages in the form of printed words, pictures or voices presented either very rapidly or very obscurely bypass your conscious awareness. Anything consciously perceived can be evaluated, criticized, discussed, argued, and possibly rejected. Anything programmed subliminally to your subconsciousness meets no resistance. This subliminal information is stored in your brain and capable of influencing your judgment, behavior and attitudes.

Predictive programming

“Predictive Programming - The power of suggestion using the media of fiction to create a desired outcome.” - Alan Watt
  • "The phenomenon of ‘predictive programming’ is heavily used on the screen. It presents and acclimatizes the public to new ideas and trends. Usually put forward in a fictional context (to circumvent issues of consent or morality), many of the events, technologies and social attitudes dipped into the collective consciousness are in fact already in the pipeline. Taking this one step further, I propose that the screen actually seeds the imagination to manifest a pre-determined reality. Far from being the trivial plaything we are told it is, the imagination is a highly developed, super powerful holographic processor. It illustrates, energizes and manifests the world around us, whether we acknowledge it or not. It is the portal through which the universal field condenses thought forms into matter. The imagination directly formulates our experience of reality, as strongly now as it did when we were five years old. For this reason, it is imperative that we choose carefully what we put into our minds. With mastery of our own imagination deactivated, the default setting is to mirror the incoming data stream. Output only what is input. With the modern adult mind discouraged from connecting with reality through actual felt experience, input is predictably derived from the mainstream media. The reality blueprint is transmitted, electronically and literally, from the screen. Trillions of screens." ... "Consciousness creates reality. We are not helpless objects inside it, we [help] make it. The solution is deceptively simple: free yourself and thereby regain sovereign control. Knowing this makes your mind hard to hijack and returns the power of creation back to the real masters of reality - us." [7]
  • "Hollywood is the magician's wand (holly-wood) which has been used to cast a spell on the unsuspecting public. Things or ideas which would otherwise be seen as bizarre, vulgar, undesirable or impossible are inserted into films in the realm of fantasy. When the viewer watches these films, his/her mind is left open to suggestion and the conditioning process begins. These same movies which are designed to program the average person, can give the discerning viewer a better understanding of the workings and the plan of the world agenda.[8]
  • "Predictive programming works by means of the propagation of the illusion of an infallibly accurate vision of how the world is going to look in the future". Through the circulation of science "fiction" literature, the masses are provided with semiotic intimations of coming events. Within such literary works are narrative paradigms that are politically and socially expedient to the power elite. Thus, when the future unfolds as planned, it assumes the paradigmatic character of the "fiction" that foretold it.

Apocalyptic scenarios
  • In recent years the most recurrent themes to emerge from Hollywood have been ominous in their apocalyptic visions of rampant disease epidemics and pandemics wiping out significant proportions of the world population; the growing and pervasive threat of nuclear, chemical and biological terrorist attacks within the United States and Britain; and global environmental cataclysms wreaking havoc on a fracturing populace.
  • To illustrate, in Outbreak (1995) a lethal virus deliberately developed by the US government for germ warfare purposes finds its way to a small seaside town in California. ‘Massive army backup brutally quarantines the whole town and arrests those infected with the virus’ while a Presidential Committee gives the order to bomb the town to eliminate the virus (Davies 2003, p. 2). A radical American scientist unleashes a deadly virus in 12 Monkeys (1995) wiping out five billion people and forcing the remaining survivors to live underground. Smallpox 2002: Silent Weapon (2002) explores the devastating effects of a smallpox attack on the US and UK that eventually kills 60 million people worldwide. In Tidal Wave: No Escape (1997) a demented terrorist launches nuclear missiles under the sea triggering a wave of tsunami that devastate the coast of Southern California. European terrorists plan on detonating nuclear weapons on American soil in The Peacemaker (1997) and The Sum of All Fears (2002). Radical Islamic Fundamentalists successfully release a ‘dirty bomb’ in Dirty War (2004) that spreads radiation throughout central London. Asteroids and comets threaten humanity in Armageddon (1998) and Deep Impact (1998) while in Volcano (1997), Dante’s Peak (1997) and Supervolcano (2005) dormant volcanoes threaten to destroy the urban landscape of America. Tornadoes and tidal waves devastate the American continent in The Day After Tomorrow (2003). And in Category 6: Day of Destruction (2004) a hurricane and tornado merge into a super-storm to wreak havoc over a drought-ridden Chicago causing the collapse of the national power grid. This leaves hundreds of millions without power and makes it impossible to warn anyone about the impending disaster. Whether these disturbing scenarios will pan out as depicted by Hollywood, and undoubtedly anticipated by a secretive few that orchestrate such twisted means to further their depraved end, will in time be seen. And you can be sure to see it first as mock entertainment in state-of-the-art picture and sound and then played out to a tee in unparalleled and mind-blowing real life.

        • The most familiar fictionalization of the anti-fluoridationists (see fluoride) is in Stanley Kubrick's film Dr. Strangelove: a crazed American general Jack D. Ripper is an anti-fluoridation freak and his basis for opposition is intimately tied to his manhood and his commie paranoia. From "Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb," a film review by Tim Dirks: Back in Ripper's office with gunfire sounding in the background, General Ripper puts a comforting arm around a worried Mandrake's shoulder, revealing his completely paranoidal, psycho-sexual, psychotic lunacy: Jack t. ripper with cigar "On no account will a Commie ever drink water, and not without good reason...Water is the source of all life. Seven tenths of this earth's surface is water. Why, you realize that seventy percent of you is water...And as human beings, you and I need fresh, pure water to replenish our precious bodily fluids... (Mandrake chuckles nervously) Mandrake, have you never wondered why I drink only distilled water, or rain water, and only pure grain alcohol?...Have you ever heard of a thing called fluoridation? Fluoridation of water?... fluoridation is the most monstrously conceived and dangerous communist plot we have ever had to face." [10].
Military programming in movies
“You must glorify war in order to get the public to accept the fact that your going to send their sons and daughters to die.”
Martial Law
=Martial Law 2=
  • Conditioning
    • According to well-established contemporary cinematographic tradition (or perhaps 'doctrine' would be a better word), the military is seen to have totally assumed (read: usurped) the role of the police as a means of crowd control and law enforcement during times of crises; the Posse Comitatus Act has again been swept under the rug completely. Examples of modern movies featuring a police state theme are: The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008) and Transformers (2007).
    • In I Am Legend (2007): In addition to the military gone crowd control, civilians are subjected to mandatory eye scanning tests; the purpose of which is to help identify infected people. The general effect on the viewer is to make the public get used to not only being identified immediately and on immediate demand from military law enforcers but it is also to help the public get used to being herded like cattle at the discretion and say-so of your local military overlord. It thus follows naturally that this kind of scenery portrays yet one more martial law type of setting in which human rights have been wiped off of the map on the contingency event of a national/international disaster coming into actuality.[11]
    • In Cloverfield (2008): It is to be expected that the only governmental entity possibly capable of giving sanctuary to the victims of the calamity is the armed forces or so the movie suggests. This gives the viewer the impression to place trust, preferably unconditional, in the military during times of social upheaval and mayhem. Although the remaining characters of the movie get away in a military helicopter...Even the army does not seem to be able to guarantee safety during times of extreme calamity, although the movie suggests it is the only option that is extended to you in regards to survivability. Another function is to get the public used to a police state type of society and to place trust in the military above all else although even they cannot warrant public safety under some circumstances.
Censorship in movies
  • Dan Goldberg, the producer and co-writer of Stripes, assured the Pentagon that he planned to make a comedy with “patriotic overtones that would hopefully have a positive effect on Army recruiting”. But the Army ordered Stripes to be rewritten from beginning to end. Lieutenant Colonel Richard Griffitts, chief of the army’s Policy and Plans Division, did not agree with the depiction of drug use in the barracks and Drill Sergeant Hulka (Warren Oates), he claimed, was too sadistic. In fact, Hulka was a relatively mild practioner of the brutal methods used in army boot camps. On Pentagon orders, all references to the US Army deployments in Latin America or Mexico were scrapped; jokes about rape and pillage deleted; and various characters toned down or eliminated entirely. In exchange for access to a Fort Knox location and permission to use tanks and a C-140 transport plane, Goldberg capitulated to every Pentagon demand.[12]

Disney and the occult
  • The Disney family and the Disney corporations are part of the occult world. While the names Dopey, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Grumpy, Sneezy, and Doc sound like names picked to please children, they are actually the translation from Scandinavian of the demonic dwarfs Toki, Skavaerr, Varr, Dun, Orinn, Grerr, and Radsvid. Note that Disney placed a character with a green mask in a dark mirror, and had in his shows what was called the ‘Spirit of the Magic Mirror’ which was also called The Slave of the Magic Mirror. The Monarch slaves “most precious programs” are concealed in the ground and are guarded by the gnomes built internally by the programming. These gems have power that is channeled from Satan. Most of the readers thought Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs was simply a harmless piece of fiction. They most likely didn’t realize that it is demonology. [14]"Deeper Insights into the Illuminati Formula", by Fritz Springmeier Disney - Chapter 5
  • Another big influence to the occult has been good old Mickey Mouse! Years ago Mickey mouse put on a sorcerers hat and started doing spells. Fantasia was created with the occult wizard Mickey as the star. Mickey has been very popular and Disney has been a great conditioner of children toward the world of the occult. Many of their cartoons and movies are filled with witches and things from the dark world of the occult. Today Disney has degenerated to include homosexual weeks at their theme park. Imagine a family going to Disneyland and seeing a bunch of homosexual enjoying their immorality with one another in public view.(Also see Homosexual agenda)

    • The Alice In Wonderland story is highly regarded by the programmers, because it portrays the situation that exists between the spiritual world & the physical world. When people within the physical look toward the spiritual, it is like looking into a mirror. Initially, they will only see the physical world reflected back. But if they go beyond the mirror, they would see a “mirror image” of the physical exists in the spiritual realm. When Christians pray they say, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Earth is a mirror image of heaven, not an exact copy, but someday they will be alike, according to Scripture. According to messianic jews who understand the OT well, the ceremonial law is being enacted in heaven spiritually as it’s mirror image once was done on earth. When the programming is seen only in a secular fashion, much of its design is missed. What have witches used to see beyond time and space? Mirrors. Remember the witch saying ‘mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all”? The idea is magical mirrors, the speculums, which will lead one “through the looking glass mirror” [Like he scene in "The Matix" (Film)] that then allows the victim to magically transcend time & space. One of the important keys to success with Monarch programming are generational spirits. The cover for this is studies in genetic science. Salience

Professor Hugh Rank of Governors State University proposes an “intensification/downplay” schema to analyse methods of political communication and persuasion in his website How to Analyse Political Rhetoric. Intensifying involves the techniques of repetition, association and composition, while downplay involves omission, diversion and confusion. [16]

Intensification

Repetition
  • Repetition is effective because people feel comfortable with what they are familiar with, and repetition creates familiarity. Most people have favourite songs, television programs, etc., that they listen to or watch repeatedly. Chants, prayers, rituals, and dances are all based on repeated patterns; we learn them and remember them through repetition. Politicians often repeat key words or themes throughout a speech, and also use internal repetition techniques such as rhyme, alliteration and anaphora (repetition of the same word or group of words at the beginning of successive clauses or sentences). Slogans are another repetition device used by politicians in the hopes that, like in advertising, audiences hearing a message many times will become saturated and remember the message without conscious effort.
Association
  • Association is the process of linking an idea or product with other ideas, events or products which the audience either likes and respects, or hates and fears, depending on the aim of the association. Politicians may use association by directly asserting, for example, their connection with certain groups and communities with which the audience identifies or respects. They may also use indirect language to establish associations, for example, metaphors or allusions. Association may be established with images, music, colours, flags, choice of location and timing for a speech, etc., as well as words. Association may take the form of literary, historical or religious references or allusions.
Composition
  • The way a presentation is composed can be used as a technique of intensifying. The type of language used (negative or positive, active or passive constructions, simple or abstract, etc.), the level of detail, the use of absolutes (all, always, never, etc.) and qualifiers (perhaps, some, a number of, maybe, etc.), metaphors, rhetorical questions, exaggerations, the order of presentation and the overall organisation of a speech can all be used to emphasise certain ideas or themes. Non-verbal elements can also contribute to composition: facial expression, gestures, tone of voice, etc. also play a role.

Downplaying

Omission
  • All communication involves decisions about what information to include and what to omit and therefore is limited, slanted or biased in one way or another. However, politicians often choose to deliberately omit information about disadvantages, hazards or side-effects of their proposals. What US politician, proposing military action in another country has reminded the US population that his proposed action is likely to result in the deaths of a certain number of soldiers not through enemy attacks, but from “friendly fire”? Politicians can also be expected to omit information about any criminal or scandalous activities of their own or their associates in the past, as well as information about their own mistakes or failures. Conflicts of interest may be covered-up and information about the source of controversial information may be omitted also. Finally, information about the opposition’s good points is likely to be omitted. Subtle forms of omission include quotes taken out of context and half-truths, and can be hard to detect.
Diversion
  • Diversion techniques distract focus or divert attention away from key issues, usually by intensifying unrelated issues, or trivial factors. Diversion techniques include attacks on the personality and past of opposition figures rather than their relevant policies, appealing to the emotions – fears, hopes, desires – of the public rather than their reason, directing attention to the short-comings of the opposition rather than to one’s own weaknesses, evasion of difficult topics, emphasis on superficialities or details rather than substance, and finally, jokes or other entertainment to distract attention.
Confusion
  • Politicians sometimes make their presentations so complex and chaotic that those listening get tired or overloaded, and give up on trying to follow. Confusion, whether caused by accidental error or deliberate deception, can hide or obscure important issues. Politicians may seek to confuse their audience by using unfamiliar or ambiguous words, technical jargon, euphemisms, round-about or rambling sentence construction, inappropriate or unclear analogies, non-logical sequences of thought or linking of ideas, manipulation of statistics, over complexity, information overload, etc. After introducing confusion, the politician is in the position to offer an easy answer, a simple solution to complex problems, telling the audience: “trust me”.

Dumbing down

Media: Keep the adult public attention diverted away from the real social issues, and captivated by matters of no real importance.

Oversimplification

This is achieved by:

  • Disengaging their minds: sabotaging their mental activities; providing a low-quality program of public education in mathematics, logic, systems design and economics; and discouraging technical creativity. Ensure that the public is unable to understand the technologies and methods for its control and slavery. "The quality of education for the lower classes must be of the poorest sort, so that the gap of ignorance isolating the inferior class of upper class is and remains incomprehensible to the lower classes."
  • Engaging their emotions: Appealing to emotion is a technique to bypass rational analysis, and therefore the critical individuals. In addition, the use of emotional can open the door to the subconscious mind to implement ideas, desires, fears, impulses, or behavior. Increasing their self-indulgence and their indulgence in emotional and physical activities, by unrelenting emotional affrontations and attacks (mental and emotional rape) by way of constant barrage of sex, violence, and wars in the media - especially the TV and the newspapers.
  • Addressing the public as young childrens
    • Most advertisements for the general public-use speeches, arguments, characters, and tone particularly infantile, often close to the debilitating, as if the audience was a young child or mentally handicapped.
      • Newspeak = Basic English
        • At the start of World War II, Tavistock operatives, including Brig. Gen. John Rawlings Rees in the Psychological Warfare Directorate, were busy at work on a secret language project. The target of that project was not the ``enemy``, but the English language itself, and the English-speaking people. The Tavistock crowd had picked up on the work of British linguist C.K. Ogden , who had created a simplified version of the English language using some 850 basic words (650 nouns and 200 verbs), with rigid rules for their use. Called "Basic English" or "Basic" for short, the product was ridiculed by most English-speaking intellectuals; Ogden's proposal to translate Classic literature, such as Marlowe and Shakespeare, into Basic, was rightfully attacked as an effort to trivialize the greatest expressions of English-language culture. But in the bowels of the psywar directorate, the concepts behind Basic were key to large-scale control of dangerous "thought". A simplified English language limits the degrees of freedom of expression, and inhibits the transmission of meaning through metaphor. (For a more detailed discussion of language and metaphor, see Lyndon LaRouche, ``On the Subject of Metaphor, Fidelio, Fall 1992. It is then easy to create a ``reality that can be shaped through the mass media, such as radio. A reduced language is a straitjacket for the human mind. [17]
  • Giving them what they desire - in excess - "junk food for thought" - and depriving them of what they really need. (Bread and circuses philosophy)
    • Televised sport events. The 'elite' know many people want to align themselves with the dominators (winners), not the suppressed (losers). They hypnotize and pacify people with simple systems of glorified male competition and domination. A politically harmless, commercial venting system for the boredom and anger of many people - especially 'lower-class' young males.
      • Sports and Baal Worship
      • Masonic Origins of Baseball "Baseball like Freemasonry has its secrets. The signs flashed by the catcher to the pitcher, directions given from the bench to the coaches, which are then transmitted again to the hitters and bas runners, and the informal communication between a pitcher and his fielders all function as a secret code of instructions comprising the inner game".[18]
    • Encourage the public to indulge in mediocrity
      • Movies encouraging to be "cool" - to be vulgar/uncultivated
  • Replace the rebellion with guilt
    • Make the individual believe he is solely responsible for his misfortune, because of the lack of his intelligence, his capabilities, or his efforts. Thus, instead of revolting against the economic system, the individual blames himself, resulting in a depression, one of whose effects is inhibition of the action. And without action, no revolution ...

Overstimulation

(todo)

  • "Stimulation is the action of various agents (stimuli) on muscles, nerves, or a sensory end organ, by which activity is evoked" [19]
    • External (messages, sounds, lights, vibrations, ...)
    • Internal (sugars, hormones, ...)
  • Empathy stimulation (emotional message propaganda)

  • The report, covering 319 pages, was written by 14 new science scientists under the supervision of Tavistock and 23 top controllers including B. F. Skinner, Margaret Mead, Ervin Lazlo and Sir Geoffrey Vickers, a high-level British intelligence officer in M16. It will be recalled that his son-in-law, Sir Peter Vickers Hall, was a founding member of the so-called conservative “Heritage Foundation.” Much of the 3000 pages of “recommendations” given to the Reagan administration in January 1981 were based upon material taken from Willis Harmon’s “CHANGING IMAGES OF MAN.” I was privileged to receive a copy of “THE CHANGING IMAGES OF MAN” from my intelligence colleagues five days after it was accepted by the United States government. What I read shocked me, as I realized I was looking at a blueprint for a future America, unlike anything I had ever seen before. The nation was to be programmed to change and become so accustomed to such planned changes that it would hardly be noticeable when profound changes did occur. We have gone downhill so fast since “THE AQUARIAN CONSPIRACY” (the book title of Willis Harmon’s technical paper) was written, that today, divorce draws no stigma, suicide is at an all time high and raises few eyebrows, social deviations from the norm and sexual aberrations, once unmentionable in decent circles, are now commonplace and excite no special protest. As a nation we have not noticed how “CHANGING IMAGES OF MANKIND” has radically altered our American way of life forever. Somehow we were overcome by the “Watergate Syndrome.” For a while we were shocked and dismayed to learn that Nixon was nothing but a cheap crook who hobnobbed with Earl Warren’s Mafia friends at the beautiful home they built for him adjoining the Nixon estate. When too many “future shocks” and news headlines demanded our attention, we lost our way, or rather, the huge number of choices with which we were and still are daily confronted, confused us to such a degree that we were no longer able to make the necessary choices. Tavistock Formula for Formation of Pathology

Tavistock’s agenda is used to create and topple governments. Tavistock’s objective is to eventually control entire populations between the use of drugs and sophisticated mind control techniques, including group dynamics. Its range of disciplines include anthropology, economics, organizational behavior, political science, psychoanalysis, psychology and sociology. Any technique which helps to break down the family unit, and family inculcated principles of religion, honor, patriotism and sexual behavior, is used by the Tavistock scientists as weapons of crowd control. [21]

Tavistock sets national agendas as part of the global shadow government. It used covert techniques to sell the war with Germany, the state of Israel, the Domino Theory and the Cold War for financial gain. Deliberate creation of crisis is a primary tool of social engineerings and global psychodrama. Other networked think tanks are its dissemination organ. They create peer pressure throughout all strata of society designed to break people down into consensus conformity. [22]

Tavistock tailors programs to specific situations for these and more as well as setting standards in psychiatry, psychology and organizational management. It declared itself the ultimate authority on mental health and human relations. Divergent thought is declared 'crazy' or 'antisocial.'

The process by which public opinions arise is certainly no less intricate than it has appeared in these pages, and the opportunities for manipulation open to anyone who understands the process are plain enough. . . . as a result of psychological research, coupled with the modern means of communication, the practice of democracy has turned a corner. A revolution is taking place, infinitely more significant than any shifting of economic power. . . . Under the impact of propaganda, not necessarily in the sinister meaning of the word alone, the old constants of our thinking have become variables. It is no longer possible, for example, to believe in the original dogma of democracy; that the knowledge needed for the management of human affairs comes up spontaneously from the human heart. Where we act on that theory we expose ourselves to self-deception, and to forms of persuasion that we cannot verify. It has been demonstrated that we cannot rely upon intuition, conscience, or the accidents of casual opinion if we are to deal with the world beyond our reach.” –Walter Lippmann, Public Opinion [24]

    • Huxley's cohort in the 1950s experimentation with psychotropic drugs, Dr. Timothy Leary, of Harvard University's Psychology Department, provided another glimpse into the perverted minds of the Russell/Huxley/Frankfurt School crowd, in his autobiographical account of the Harvard University Psychedelic Drug Project, Flashback. Leary first quoted Huxley: "These brain drugs, mass produced in the laboratories, will bring about vast changes in society. This will happen with or without you or me. All we can do is spread the word. The obstacle to this evolution, Timothy, is the Bible." Leary then added his own two cents: "We had run up against the Judeo-Christian commitment to one God, one religion, one reality, that has cursed Europe for centuries and America since our founding days. Drugs that open the mind to multiple realities inevitably lead to a polytheistic view of the universe. We sensed that the time for a new humanist religion based on intelligence, good-natured pluralism and scientific paganism had arrived." (Huxley's `Concentration Camp of the Mind') [26]
  • Victimology
    • The live coverage of car crashes, gang murders, rapes, natural disasters, wars, and terrorist acts, is served up on the basis of careful studies conducted at the neurological divisions of the leading medical schools. In recent decades, psychological warfare experts have unveiled a new pseudo-science called Victimology, developed by the London Tavistock Institute, which is premised upon the theory that individuals can be put through trauma by being exposed to shockingly graphic visual accounts of violence. • The merger of media companies in the last decades generated a small oligarchy of media conglomerates. The TV shows we follow, the music we listen to, the movies we watch and the newspapers we read are all produced by FIVE corporations. The owners of those conglomerates have close ties with the world’s elite and, in many ways, they ARE the elite. By owning all of the possible outlets having the potential to reach the masses, these conglomerates have the power to create in the minds of the people a single and cohesive world view, engendering a “standardization of human thought”. [28]
    • Even movements or styles that are considered marginal are, in fact, extensions of mainstream thinking. Mass medias produce their own rebels who definitely look the part but are still part of the establishment and do not question any of it. Artists, creations and ideas that do not fit the mainstream way of thinking are mercilessly rejected and forgotten by the conglomerates, which in turn makes them virtually disappear from society itself. However, ideas that are deemed to be valid and desirable to be accepted by society are skillfully marketed to the masses in order to make them become self-evident norm. In 1928, Edward Bernays already saw the immense potential of motion pictures to standardize thought (Also see Consumerism):
“The American motion picture is the greatest unconscious carrier of propaganda in the world today. It is a great distributor for ideas and opinions. The motion picture can standardize the ideas and habits of a nation. Because pictures are made to meet market demands, they reflect, emphasize and even exaggerate broad popular tendencies, rather than stimulate new ideas and opinions. The motion picture avails itself only of ideas and facts which are in vogue. As the newspaper seeks to purvey news, it seeks to purvey entertainment.”– Edward Bernays, Propaganda

Marketing

  • Todo: product design, product marketing, consensus-style culture promotion, alternative/niche culture co-opting.
  • Instruments:
    • Promotion by association: fun, sex, celebrities, cool-factor (sports/danger/masculine), health, safety, empathy (charity events), ...
    • Promotion by dis-association ("better alternative than the market competitors")
    • Social group research: profiling, product testing, ...
    • Owning multiple brands (with a different marketing strategy) in the same product category.

Advertising

“Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need.” - Fight Club (film)

In a simpler time, advertising merely called attention to the product and extolled its advantages. Now it manufactures a product of its own: the consumer, perpetually unsatisfied, restless, anxious, and bored. Its 'educates' the masses into an unappeasable appetite not only for goods but for new experiences and personal fulfillment. It upholds consumption as the answer to the age-old discontents of loneliness, sickness, weariness, lack of sexual satisfaction; at the same time it creates new forms of discontent peculiar to the modern age. It plays seductively to the malaise of industrial civilization. Is your job boring and meaningless? Is your life empty? Consumption promises to fill the aching void..." [29]

Television

Television was beginning to make its entrance as the next mass media technology at the time the Radio Research Project's findings were published in 1939. First experimented with on a large scale in Nazi Germany during the 1936 Berlin Olympics, TV made its splashy public appearance at the 1939 New York World's Fair, where it attracted large crowds. Adorno and others immediately recognized its potential as a mass-brainwashing tool. In 1944, he wrote,

"Television aims at the synthesis of radio and film ... but its consequences are enormous and promise to intensify the impoverishment of aesthetic matter, so drastically that by tomorrow, the thinly veiled identity of all industrial culture products can come triumphantly out in the open, derisively fulfilling the Wagnerian dream of Gesamtkunstwerk--the fusion of all arts in one work."

As was obvious from even the earliest clinical studies of television (some of which were conducted in the late 1940s and early 1950s by Tavistock operatives), viewers, over a relatively short period of time, entered into a trance-like state of semi-awareness, characterized by a fixed stare. The longer one watched, the more pronounced the stare. In such a condition of twilight-like semi-awareness, they were susceptible to messages both contained in the programs themselves, and through transference, in the advertising. They were being brainwashed. The earliest programming fell back on the tested models of radio, as described in the Radio Research Project: the situation comedy, or "sitcom," the game shows, the variety shows, sports, and the "soaps." Many were in serial form, with interlocking characters, if not stories. All were banal, deliberately designed so.

In the mid-1970s, Eric Trist, who, until his death in 1993, headed Tavistock's operations in the United States, and Tavistock's main media "expert," Fred Emery, reported on their findings of the impact of 20 years of television on American society. In Emery's 1975 work, Futures We Are In, they reported that the content of programming was no longer as important as the sheer amount of television viewing. Average daily viewing time had risen steadily over the two decades since the introduction of the medium, such that by the mid-1970s, it ranked as a daily activity only behind sleep and work, at almost six hours a day (since then, it has risen still further, to more than seven hours, with the addition of video games, home videos, and so on); among school-age children, the time spent viewing television ranked just behind school attendance. These findings, Tavistock indicated, strongly suggested that television was like an addictive drug. Similarly, Emery reported on neurological studies which, he claimed, showed that repeated television viewing "shuts down the central nervous system of man."

Whether this claim holds up under scientific scrutiny, Emery and Trist present persuasive argument that general, extensive television viewing lowers the capacity for conceptual thinking about what is being presented on the screen. The studies show that the mere presence of images on television, especially within appropriate news or documentary format, but also within general viewing, tends to "validate" those images, and imbue them with a sense of "reality."

Trist and Emery find nothing wrong with such developments, which indicate that television is producing a brain-dead generation. Rather, they show how this development fits into a larger global plan for social control, implemented by Tavistock and its allied networks on behalf of its sponsors. Society, they state in A Choice of Futures, a book published in the same time period, has been plunging through progressively lowered states of mental awareness, to a point where even the Orwellian fascist state is not attainable. At this point, thanks to television and other mass media, mankind is in a state of dissociation, whose political outcome will be manifested in a "Clockwork Orange" society, named for the book by the late Anthony Burgess, in which roving youth gangs habitually commit acts of random violence, and then return home to watch the news about what they have done on the "tube."

Music

Since the launching of the Beatles as an international project via TV in 1963, "rock" has been the most influential recruiter to Satanism. Rock was created, and is still coordinated by Crowley’s followers and by the OTO network, in cooperation with WICCA. It is, not so incidentally, also the Satanist’s biggest money-maker, and believed to provide the chief logistical support for deployments and other activities of the OTO-WICCA efforts world-wide.

There is nothing spontaneous or accidental about "rock." It is a product of classical studies of the ancient Phrygian terrorist cult of Satan-Dionysos, the model for the Roman Bacchic cults of similar characteristics. Crowley’s control of the "rock industry" has been documented by a team of [private] investigators, who have also noted, that in addition to the Satanist lyrics, Satanist messages embedded sublimely in rock recordings are a key feature of this subversive operation.

The "rock rhythm" itself is copied from the old Dionysian-Bacchic cults. Even without the drugs and sexual orgies which are characteristic features of hard-core rock affairs, repeated, frequent, hours-long exposure to constant repetition of "rock rhythms" produces lasting, drug-like effects on the mind of the victim. Reducing sexual practices to the level of bestiality, is a crucial feature of Satanism in all historical periods studied, from Phrygian Cybele-Dionysos cult-period onward. [30]

The Thomson Corporation

  • The Canada-based Thomson Corporation was one of the earliest players in the U.S. market, with a solid base in the Midwest. At this point, Thomson, which controls such important British media properties as the London Sunday Times and Times Literary Supplement, and whose founder, Ray Thomson, was raised to a peerage in 1964, as Lord Thomson of Fleet Street, owns 105 daily and 26 weekly newspapers throughout the United States. Mostly in medium-sized and smaller markets, these papers have a circulation of more than 2.1 million. Thomson is also one of the key purveyors of financial information, through various publications and data sources, and controls the largest legal research publisher in the United States... In 1995, Thomson sold 23 of its smaller U.S. holdings to the London-based Hollinger Corporation, headed by Conrad Black. Since 1992, Hollinger, which got its start as a privatized asset of British intelligence in North America, known as the Argus Corporation, has been on a U.S. media buying spree, doubling its holdings. It now owns 80 daily newspapers and over 300 weeklies, in both large cities and smaller markets, including the Chicago Sun-Times and the British intelligence scandal-mongering weekly, the American Spectator. Black, who owns the London Daily Telegraph, has been financed in his takeover operations by the Rothschild banking interests, and reportedly has received funding from Li Kai-shing, a former board member of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, identified in EIR's book Dope, Inc. as a long-standing controller and money-launderer of Asian drug-trafficking proceeds. News Corporation

  • Perhaps the best known, and certainly the most flamboyant of the direct British players in the U.S. market is the Australian Rupert Murdoch. His multibillion-dollar News Corporation Ltd., based in London and New York, owns several score newspapers in the United States, including the New York Post, and 11 large circulation magazines, including TV Guide; his publications have a circulation of several score millions worldwide, and several millions in the United States. Murdoch, the son of an Australian press magnate, apprenticed under Lord Beaverbrook, the most important British press figure of the twentieth century. Murdoch began buying up press two decades ago, and affixed himself to the dirty side of British operations in the United States, becoming close to the notorious homosexual political fixer Roy Cohn and his New York machine. In the 1980s, Murdoch, using highly leveraged funds, purchased the 20th Century Fox movie studios, which he used to spawn the fourth national television network, Fox-TV, which has outlets in all major media markets. • The Hollinger Corporation (now Sun-Times Media Group), a direct outgrowth of World War II British Secret Intelligence Service operations, housed in Canada and the United States, owns more than 100 daily and weekly newspapers in the United States, concentrated in the Midwest. The Hollinger Corp. has been the driving force behind the campaign to destroy the institution of the U.S. Presidency, through what has come to be known as "Clintongate". Hollinger has been acting as a branch of British intelligence in this effort, employing the most advanced methods of psychological warfare, and deploying its own resources as well as those of allied media organizations, private tax-exempt foundations, and "wanna-be" Tory factions of the U.S. Republican Party, to sink the Presidency.
